We've all heard the story of the Art Basil banana. A conceptual piece of art that originally sold in an edition of 3 for $120,000 each. In 2024 one of the copies resold at auction for 6.2 million dollars. For that price you get instruction on how to tape a banana to a wall. I decided to use my 3D photography process to make my own banana art. I had to go to the local hardware store and purchase some duct tape. I took a banana from our kitchen and taped it to a piece of white foam core board. I photographed the banana from 36 different perspectives and used those viewpoints to create this 3D lenticular. The banana seems to float off the surface of the print and your hand will pass right through it. It's a fun piece!
3D lenticular art consisting of dozens of frames that shows true depth when viewed from front.
Multi-perspective lenticular art, appears three dimensional.
