L205 Winding Road

Reminiscent of the old Beatles song, this long and winding road is an iconic part of Door County, Wisconsin. Near the Washington Island ferry dock, along Highway 42 halfway between Gills Rock and Northport. I couldn't resist taking my own autumn picture when I was visiting there. I love going to Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay in fall: the colors are vibrant, the apples, cherries and pumpkins wonderful.

The road was busy with cars and trucks in the autumn. When I went back in the winter I nearly had the place to myself.
