L217 Porcupine Mountains

One of my favorite places to hike and photograph in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the Porcupine Mountains. This overview is particularly stunning in the autumn when the trees turn magical and the open sky at sunset is spectacular.

Taken first in summer, the green beauty and the wooden pathway beckon the hiker to explore. Bring your binoculars because you are going to see hawks and eagles. I went back in the autumn and had just a glorious day hiking, finishing up with this amazing sunset.
